Scottsboro Police Department have identified the student responsible for sending the text message. While the police department continues the investigation, this student has been suspended pending further disciplinary action consistent with our student code of conduct.




Earlier this evening, a staff member at Collins Intermediate School received a text message indicating that “you should be scared at Collins on Tuesday.” This threat has been turned over to Scottsboro Police Department for further investigation. As the investigation continues, Scottsboro Police Department will have a greater presence on the Collins campus tomorrow. School safety will always be our top priority for all students, faculty and staff. If you have any information about this threat, please contact Scottsboro Police Department or Mr. Jeff Tubbs, Principal, Collins Intermediate School.
